A national holiday, so I had time to finish the short story THE DRAGON ZENPHOS, a kind of sequel to THE WIZARDS AND THE WARRIORS, the book published in North America as WIZARD WAR. The action of THE DRAGON ZENPHOS overlaps, in part, that of the action of WIZARD WAR, and the Rovac warrior Morgan Gestrel Hearst puts in an appearance.

The kick-in-the-pants credit for this story (in this case, no kick, no story) goes to Sal Gunduz, who asked the basic question: who exactly killed the dragon?

In the WIZARD WAR text, the wizards Phyphor, Garash and Miphon encounter the dragon Zenphos at the border of Estar. The dragon is injured when the flame trench at the border is ignited ... but ... was it fatally injured?

The question having been asked, the story of THE DRAGON ZENPHOS constructed itself in less than twenty-four hours. That was back in August. However, I've been so infernally busy that I haven't had time to finish it until now.

I'm now tentatively contemplating writing a proper sequel, maybe to be called UNTUNCHILAMON, to be set on the island of Untunchilamon and to die together the stories of Morgan Hearst, Paraban Senk, Codlugarthia (the Hermit Crab) and so forth.

But, first, I need to finish my novel BAMBOO HORSES, my work in progress. A few details at:-
