MADNESS

Sanity
Is a laziness she no longer enjoys.
Everything is effort.
Her thoughts are convex, are glittering
In the giggle of gravity.
Jewels shaken from their settings.
Her thumb is swollen, bloated
With blueberries of apprehension.
Her eyes are overripe:
Disaster meat.
Memories daubed with blood.

The night retreats
Leaving the sky unfurnished.
There is no dark left to hide in.

Cycles have lost their comforts.
The ricebubbles look innocent
But her spoon encounters
Gelatinous resistance.
Dig in! Dig in!

Afterwards,
Buttons.
There is a security in buttons.
Buttons
Are guaranteed to have no livers.
She holds tight to the image of buttons
As the sun slops the colors
Higher and higher.

Later,
She sits on the asbestos,
Fireproof,
Waiting for the slice of helicopter blades,
Flinching from the aroma of knives.
The thermometers of desire confess nothing
But the day heats up.
Her skull is transparent to noise,
Sliced by enduring scalpels.
The potatoes are hot with pain.
In the drooling interstices of the afternoon
You can hear the product placements boiling.
You can hear the heresies cooking
In the souls of termites.

She waits for annihilation
But is unrewarded.

HALLUCINATIONS

The man with the burning mustache
Is busy faxing my fingernails
.
